About Mrs. Hodge
Hello Families,
I think Camarillo is such a wonderful place to live and I have spent half of my childhood here. I attended Ventura College, CSU Northridge, and received my teaching credential from CSU Channel Islands. My first years of teaching were spent in Fresno, CA, where I taught upper grades. I was glad to move back to beautiful community and the cooler weather of Camarillo.
In 2009 I wanted to continue my education and decided to return to CSUCI to earn my Special Education Credential. In 2011 I received my Autism Authorization Certificate through Ventura County Office of Education and I am highly trained to work with all disabilities, including autism.
I have taught at many schools and in many grades in our district on my journey as an educator such as Tierra Linda, El Descanso (PVSEA), Las Posas, and Rancho Rosal (in its first 3 years). I have taught 1st - 5th grade and for 4 years I worked in a behavioral structured special education class. In 2015 I moved back to Rancho Rosal to teach 2nd. I was warmly welcomed back by staff and parents into this wonderful school community.
As you will learn I love teaching and love working with students.
I'm blessed to have a very supportive family. I have been married for 13 years we have two sons: 9 year-old Dylan and 6 year old Cole. We also have a wonderful dog named Miri. We love to camp and swim.
I'm so excited to share this time in your child's life with you!
